Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring above a popular coastal beach unexpectedly started spinning out of control, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Footage uploaded on social media show the chopper starting to spin over the shoreline then falling near the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
First Aid Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
