Based on latest statistics, the population of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the total of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the count of women aged 100 or over nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to hear from individuals who have reached 100, their family or close ones, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and shifts.
